I'm still keeping this blog for WIP logs and updates, but you'll notice the photo gallery, guestbook, etc, are gone. It's now just a lonely blog!

Finished: Black Wheels

I finally got my wheels painted black! A long awaited project: done. They look SO much cooler now, all that's left to do is get rid of the chrome wheel-well trim and paint my roof rack, then the blazer will be 100% blacked out!

Here's my WIP guide, like I normally add. It took two days of sanding, masking, priming, and painting.

Sanded, masked, and primed.

Three coats of black high-preformance wheel paint.

Not much of a WIP guide, sorry!

Painted the bumper, took three days, but it looks a lot better. Not much difference, but it's way better now. Check out my WIP log below, and some photos.

Primer, three coats of the stuff. Used about one can!

Black coat, looking good now.

What happened? Lol, looks weird without this stuff on.

Trim be gone (Pt1)

I spent a hour trying to get the rear bumper panel off, and then I found out you don't need to! The rear bumper trim snapped off. There are some holes now that I'll have to fill in ... and then I'll have to take it off anyway to paint it (just realized that, *sigh*) but it looks better now. It's dirty and scratched under there, but I'll fix that up. Here are pics:

http://projectblazer.webs.com/photos/Work-in-Progress-Images/032000_1722%5B00%5D.jpg

Over the week, and last week, I took off the trim, all of which is still in good condition except one which cracked. The blazer looks much better now, and I can't wait to remove the rest. Check it out:

Spare Wheel + Fresh Coat of Paint

Finally, spring! Well, at least for a few days. The weather is soo nice, and the other day I was outside and board, and I saw the spare wheel sitting in the yard. I thought "What the heck why not" so I can down into the basement, grabbed some sandpaper, and ran back up, and then spent a few hours sanding the rust off the spare wheel. Man what a chore! But I got most of it off, and today (all of that was done yesterday, Sunday) I primed and painted it. It looks awesome now, check it out:

Now for some WIP images (from my cell) so you can see the progress.

This summer I'm going to paint all four of my normal rims black with red tear drops, I can't wait, and it's gonna rock.

Bad Heator Core

Our heater core is going bad. Stinks, it's a huge job to fix because it's hidden away in the dash who knows where. It's causing anti-freeze to puff out of the A/C vents which is not very good for our heath. We're gonna see how much it'll cost to get it fixed, and if it's a lot of money and a long job, we might rent a car or just get a new one. I don't plan on getting rid of the blazer, but updates to this might be a lot slower. I'm always active on my Cloudica blog, I update my main blog quite often, as my Tumblr blog, so don't think I've died if this site stays in-active for a few months :)

Choppin: Future plans for the bumper 2

Here is a rear bumper edit from a 2000 GMC Envoy. Looks awesome! I have to upgrade to a 98 bumper first, then buy this. Pretty costly, so I'm not doing this anytime soon...
